So if we want to please Him, then we cannot continue living only to please ourselves. Choosing to live for our own selfish desires, only puts us in bad standing with God. However, for those who are self-seeking and continue to live in unrighteousness, they will receive God’s fury and wrath. Paul is conveying here that glory and eternal life await those who earnestly seek God’s face. Romans 2:8 ” But to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness-indignation and wrath.” So as beings made in His perfect image, fearfully and wonderfully made, remember you are altogether beautiful, and precious in his sight.
